About us
Our mission is to grow the game of lacrosse in our area by providing an inclusive, transparent organization with support for families and coaching for players at all skill levels. We are always eager to welcome players who are new to the sport.
Teaching our players how to gain and grow the skills to be successful in a game we love helps to improve the community in ways beyond lacrosse. This is done in a safe and positive environment. Our core operating principle is that the game of lacrosse be made accessible to all children in our community regardless of resources or the ability to pay. To that end we offer numerous scholarship opportunities and run a loaner gear program to help alleviate financial barriers to participation.

Where and when do we play?
Boys Youth compete in the Greater Eastside Lacrosse League (GELL).
Girls youth and high school teams compete as members of Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association (WSLA).
Boys high school teams compete as part of the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association (WHSBLA), Wesco division.
Youth are divided into separate boys and girls teams teams by grade with teams for K-2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade. We happily welcome transgender athletes as well, please contact registrar@shorelinelacrosse.org so we can identify the best team for your athlete.
Practices and home games are in Shoreline on turf fields. We mostly use Shoreline A/B soccer fields, Kellogg Middle School, and Shorecrest High School. Youth teams generally practice twice a week. The boys 7th and 8th grade team and girls 14U team may practice a third day a week. Games are on the weekends, usually on Saturdays for boys youth, and Sundays for girls youth, however, girls may also have games on Saturdays. We compete against teams throughout the Puget Sound region but most commonly teams in King and Snohomish counties. The youth season typically runs February or March through late May with a tournament in early June. There are usually about 10 games in a season, half of which are home and half away.
High school teams typically practice daily in the evenings and have games midweek. The high school girls generally compete against teams in the Seattle area. The high school boys generally compete against teams north of Shoreline. The high school season typically runs March through May with a tournament in early June. The girls typically have about 10 games in a season and the boys have about 15, half for both of which are home and half away.
Note that we are a recreational nonprofit organization and not associated with Shoreline Schools. Since Shoreline Schools do not offer a lacrosse program, high school players compete under our umbrella on a Shoreline-wide team that is independent of the school they attend. Boys rules require a primary high school for teams to be associated with so on schedules and at www.laxnumbers.com we are listed as Shorecrest but in reality we are Shorecrest + Shorewood + Home Exchange + Edmonds Woodway + ...
