The regular season for lacrosse is during the spring, however we offer programs during the fall and winter. Our fall program is held once per week, on Sunday mornings and will run from September 19th through October 31st (time slots will depend on age level, all sessions will be in the mornings, prior to noon).
These sessions will have multiple groups of players, both those that are new to the sport, their curriculum will be focused on introducing the sport's fundamentals and also groups for more experienced players.
The primary purpose of these off-season events is to have a way to introduce kids lacrosse but not to interfere with the typical fall sports like football and soccer. It is also a great way for experienced players to stay sharp and work on their skills in the off season.
We've opened registration for the fall program, see the link below:
This was an awesome spring season, this wouldn't have been possible without the players, coaches, referees and the incredible support from our community!
Look for announcements soon for the following activities:
For 2021 all goalies (youth and high school boys and girls) are required to use a chest protector that is compliant with the NOCSAE ND200 Heart Safe standard.
In 2022 all youth and high school boys field players will be required to wear compliant chest/shoulder pads as well.
US Lacrosse has an information page here that includes the full standard flyer: https://www.uslacrosse.org/safety/equipment/chest-protector-faq
Shoreline Youth Lacrosse has been providing chest protectors for our high school goalies since a NOCSAE ND200 compliant pad came on the market in 2019. Our organization also provide compliant chest protectors to our youth goalies. If your player is a goalie and you wish to purchase your own protector, please do so, but is must be on the list of compliant equipment.
For boys youth and high school field players, we encourage you to purchase compliant equipment this season, but will not be enforcing compliance until 2022. If you plan on buying shoulder/chest gear now, look for the NOCSAE ND200 label.
The site: https://www.seinet.org/ contains a full list of compliant shoulder/chest protectors (look under the US Lacrosse section). Only items on this list will be allowed for goalies in 2021 and all players in 2022 (new items are being added to the list as they are approved).
